The Town Centre Diversification Public Realm project will see significant improvements to the public realm space in Fore Bondgate, North Newgate Street and the Market Place.
The project will help to increase footfall and dwell time in the town. The area will also attract new visitors with new wayfinding and gateways adding to the visitor experience.
Flexible spaces and improved lighting will offer opportunities for special events.
Consultation regarding this project will take place in Autumn 2023.
